1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the SplitTrip mobile application and related services (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use SplitTrip.

2. Description of the Service
SplitTrip is a trip planning and shared expense-tracking software platform that allows users to:
  • Organize group travel details
  • Record shared expenses and contributions
  • Store trip-related documents and itineraries
  • Communicate with trip participants
  • Send and receive trip invitations
SplitTrip provides software tools only and does not manage, control, or guarantee real-world travel arrangements or financial transactions between users.

3. What SplitTrip Is Not
SplitTrip is not:
  • A bank
  • A payment processor
  • A money transmitter
  • A custodian or holder of user funds
  • A travel agency or booking provider
SplitTrip does not receive, hold, transmit, or manage funds between users. All expense entries and contribution records within the Service are for tracking and informational purposes only.
All real-world payments between travelers occur outside of SplitTrip and are solely the responsibility of the users involved.

4. Trip Creation Fee

Certain features of the Service require payment of a one-time, non-refundable software usage fee charged to the trip organizer (“Trip Fee”).

Current fee: $7.99 USD per trip (subject to change at any time).

The Trip Fee grants access to the software tools associated with creating and managing a trip within the Service. The Trip Fee does not represent payment for travel services, financial services, or custody of funds.

All payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. SplitTrip does not store full payment card numbers.
Fees are non-refundable once a trip is successfully created, except where required by applicable law. If a technical error prevents successful trip creation after payment, users should contact info@splittriptravel.com and we will review the issue in good faith.
Users are responsible for any applicable taxes, bank fees, currency conversion fees, or charges imposed by their payment provider.
SplitTrip reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Changes will not affect trips already created.

Users agree not to initiate unwarranted chargebacks. SplitTrip reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts associated with improper chargebacks.
